FCI, a leading developer of connectors and interconnect systems, announces the expansion of its electronics product portfolio with printed circuit board pluggable and fixed terminal blocks that are ideal for industrial and instrumentation applications.

“Terminal blocks have been around for many years, but they are still going strong. They are essential for many circuit board designs,” said Koos Steding, FCI’’s global product manager. “Terminal blocks tie in nicely with FCI’’s other proven PCB connectors for board-to-board, wire/cable-to-board and rectangular I/O, which is why we decided to offer even more choice and service to our customers. Designers can now easily select FCI for most of their PCB interconnect needs.”

FCI’’s PCB signal and power terminal blocks are available in pluggable and fixed configurations in various pitch-sizes and wire sizes. The proven rising-cage clamp technology ensures long life and reliable connections.

As with all FCI products, its terminal blocks come with the support tools to facilitate easy design-in, such as the web-based Terminal Block Product Selector. This application allows users to easily navigate through various application examples. After selecting a product, the user is immediately directed to a dedicated web page with all product details including specifications, customer drawings and 3D mechanical models.

The terminal blocks microsite offers customers direct access to product solutions and provides downloadable information such as product brochures, catalogs and an online cross-reference.

A new terminal block catalog will also be available. The catalog provides information on FCI’’s full range of plugs, sockets and PCB connectors to support most terminal block needs.
